What happens when you turn off iCloud Keychain on your Apple device?
When you turn off the device’s iCloud Keychain, you will either save or delete the passwords and credit card information you have saved. If you choose to save the data, it is not removed or updated when you make changes to other devices. If you do not wish to store data on at least one device, your Keychain data will be deleted from your device and iCloud server.
Is iCloud Keychain safe?
Apple uses end-to-end encryption for storing all your data, which means that only you can access your information on devices where you’re signed in to iCloud with your unique Apple ID. No one can access your encrypted details, including Apple itself.
However, for End-to-End encryption, you are required to turn on two-factor authentication for your Apple ID.
